Abstract Submission Guidelines

ISACP invites submission of papers to be presented at the July 25-29, 2010 Congress in Corvallis, OR. Submitters should indicate whether there is a preference for an oral or poster presentation. Abstracts will be accepted until May 3, 2010. Abstracts are to be submitted using a secure website. Please go to the submission website to submit your abstract. You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of the abstract. Abstracts submitted after that date may not be printed in the proceedings of the congress. Notification of poster or oral presentation will be made 2 weeks following receipt of an abstract.

Abstract submission: 

Prior to submitting your abstract, please carefully read and follow the formatting guidelines outlined below.

At the Congress, all oral paper presentations will be of a uniform 15-minute length. Authors should plan a 12- to 14-minute presentation with the balance of time devoted to questions. Computer projectors will be available for PowerPoint presentations. Please bring your PowerPoint presentation (2007 or earlier version) on a portable USB drive. Display boards will be provided for the poster papers. Maximum poster size is 4 feet wide x 3 feet tall.

The abstracts for all papers (oral and poster) presented at the Congress will be published in a proceedings booklet available as part of registration. Authors of abstracts are encouraged to expand their submissions into papers to submit to the Veterinary Clinical Pathology journal.

 

Best of Presentation/Poster Awards for Young Investigators:

Young investigators (these are defined as someone in a graduate or residency program or within 5 years of completion of training) presenting an oral presentation or poster are eligible for Best of Presentation Awards. The J. Jerry Kaneko Prize will be awarded to the best oral presentation and the Eitan Bogin Prize awarded to the best poster presentation.

Font: Times New Roman

Font size: 12 pt

Spacing: Single

Paragraph alignment: Left (do not select justified)

Margins: 1 inch all directions

Title: Bold

Length: Title, authors, author affiliations, and body maximum of 2 pages. Only 2 pages will be printed in the program

References: References shall be cited as the following [1].

File type: Microsoft Word or WordPerfect document

 

Be sure to include:

Type of presentation – indicate oral or poster

Indicate whether the abstract contributor is elgible for consideration for a Young Investigator Presentation Award - the J. Jerry Kaneko Prize or the Eitan Bogin Prize.

Section to affiliate – Infectious Diseases of Blood Cells, Hematology (Haemopoetic Neoplastic Cancers), Acute Phase Proteins, Biochemistry of Exercise, Antioxidants, Nutrition and Genetics, Toxicology, Camilids, Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine, Endocrinology, Instrumentation, Non-Western Production Animals, Lab Information Management

Person presenting the paper/poster – the name of the presenting author shall be identified by underlining and including an e-mail address on the abstract author information. Additional authors’ e-mail addresses may be included if desired.
